This page gives an overview on how to bid for an upgrade of capacity, formerly called 'conversion.' (If you do not know how to take part in an auction, instructions on how to do so can be found in the auctions help section.) The example below shows a within-day auction.

When bidding on firm capacity in an auction, you have the option to upgrade either interruptible capacity that you already own to firm capacity, or firm capacity of a lower quality that you already own (for example DZK or BZK) to capacity of a higher quality (for example Firm or FZK). After selecting the auction that you would like to take part in, you will see a section called 'Upgrade' with a tick box in it.

If you would like to bid for an upgrade of capacity, tick this box. A box with additional fields will appear. Fill in the fields with the information about the capacity you would like to upgrade.

After filling in these fields, continue the bidding process as usual. The responsibility of performing the upgrade as requested now lies with the TSO(s).
