Re-Opening of Submission Window

Overview

Before the start of long-term auctions, transmission system operators (TSOs) have the opportunity to take part in a re-opening of the submission window in order to update the marketable capacity at their network points. The update applies to both bundled and unbundled auctions, and separate re-openings are held for firm and interruptible capacity.

How You Are Informed

PRISMA communicates all dates, as well as the TSOs involved, to the market.

  • Communications will be published via Maintenance Messages (MM). please make sure to follow to the Market Messages channel.

Implications for TSOs

In addition to the message published by PRISMA, representatives of the TUG are informed about the re-opening of the submission window via email.

  • Scheduled re-openings: as soon as you notice the need to use the scheduled re-opening, please inform the PRISMA Customer Success Team directly. The corresponding message will then be updated accordingly.
  • Short-notice requests: requests for ad-hoc re-openings should also be directed to the PRISMA Customer Success Team as early as possible.
  • Bundled points: if your bundling partner does not intend to change anything on their side, no action is required from them. Each TSO only needs to act if they are updating their own products.
  • Support: if any issues or questions arise during the re-opening, the PRISMA Customer Success Team is available to support you.

Implications for Shippers

During the re-opening of the submission window, please be aware of the following:

  • Affected auctions are temporarily hidden. The auctions concerned will disappear from the Auctions page in the Transport section during the re-opening. They will re-appear after the event ends.
  • Comfort bids are not carried over. Any comfort bids you previously placed for the updated auctions will not be transferred. If you wish to keep using the comfort bid functionality, you will need to re-create your comfort bids after the auction re-appears.
  • Bundling partners are also affected. This applies equally to comfort bids placed for auctions of the bundling partners, even if you only see the bundled product on your side.

In Short

Before long-term auctions begin, TSOs may take part in a re-opening of the submission window to update marketable capacity for bundled and unbundled, firm and interruptible products. PRISMA will publish them as Maintenance Messages (MM). Shippers should note that affected auctions briefly disappear during the event and that previously placed comfort bids must be re-created afterwards.
