To use platform functionalities, users must be assigned to specific permission groups. That applies to all user types - that is, shipper, TSO, SSO and LSO users.

The Safe Mode grants companies access to the PRISMA Standard Groups relevant to each company type. These groups include all the permissions necessary to make full use of platform functionalities without issue.

In contrast, the Advanced Mode allows company administrators to create Custom Groups if they wish to customize permissions according to their company needs. As the Advanced Mode is still in Beta, PRISMA cannot guarantee that the combination of different permissions in custom groups might not create issues, which could hinder users from accessing platform features. if you choose this mode, test your permissions carefully to make sure they work as expected.
