Handling the smartphone token-app 


Once your company has been approved by at least one TSO, you will receive an email with step by step instructions on how to download, install, and activate the app.


Note: Please keep the information you get with this email (serial number, activation code, and handling of the mobile app) in case you:

  • lose your mobile device and have to enable the app on a second one
  • have to authorize yourself for a support incident and User Support asks you for the Serial Number of the VASCO App.

Step 1: Installing the smartphone-app 

  • Open your app store from the menu of your smartphone
  • If requested sign in with your Google or Apple ID account
  • Search for the correct application (specified below)
  • Select the one to download and install it


The smartphone app is available in several application stores as a free download:


Android Play Store:

Blackberry App World:

Name: DIGIPASS for Mobile Enterprise Security


Note: Please be aware that the mobile app is not able to handle different authentication accounts within one app. For example, if you have two websites which use a VASCO data security authentication feature (e.g. PRISMA and a bank website), it is not possible to handle both authentications with one mobile phone. In the event that you are already using a VASCO data security authentication application on your phone, you would need to have a second mobile device to install the app, or would need to order a hardware token for one of the services.

 

Step 2: Activating the smartphone-app 

After you have downloaded and installed the smartphone app, there is a procedure to activate your token has to follow. You can either fill in the “Serial Number” and the “Activation code,” or simply do a scan of the QR-Code.

This information will be in the original email you received regarding the mobile token.


Tip: If you fill in the "Serial Number” manually, it is not necessary to enter the prefix “VES”. If you scan the QR-code, instead, everything will be done automatically.


After the activation has been completed, the app can be used as a token.


Note: In the App menu, you will find a time synchronisation feature to keep your mobile phone in syn time with the VASCO App server. Please be sure activate this feature.
