Handling the smartphone token-app 


Once your company has been approved by at least one TSO, you will receive an email with a step by step instruction to download, install and activate the app.

Note: Please keep the information you get with this email (serial number, activation code, and handling of the mobile app) in case

  • you lose your mobile device and have to enable the app on a second one
  • you have to authorize yourself for a support incident and the User Support asks you for the Serial Number of the VASCO App.


Step 1: Installing the smartphone-app 

  • Open your app store from the menu of your smartphone
  • If requested sign in with your google or apple ID account
  • Search the correct application (specified below)
  • Select the one you have to download and install it


The smartphone app is available in several application stores as a free download:

NoteP: lease be aware that the mobile app is not able to handle different authentication accounts within one and the same app, for example if you have two websites which use a VASCO data security authentication feature (e.g. PRISMA and a bank website) it is not possible to handle both authentications with one and the same mobile phone. In such a case you would have to have a second mobile device to install the pertaining app or would need to order a hardware token for one of the services.

 

Step 2: Activating the smartphone-app 

After you have downloaded and installed the smartphone app, a procedure to activate your token has to be performed. You can either fill in the “Serial Number” and the “Activation code” or do a scan of the QR-Code.

This information has been sent to you via e-mail.


Tip: If you fill the „Serial Number” manually, it is not necessary to enter the prefix “VES”. If you scan the code everything will be done automatically.

After the activation has been completed the app can be used as a token.

Note: In the App menu you will find a time synchronisation feature to keep your mobile in simultaneous time with the VASCO App server. Please activate this feature.
